Abstract
Dumas Mining’s presentation will focus on how the company achieved one year of triple zeroes for their Hoyle Pond project. The site worked 126,445 man-hours and broke 3,006 development meters with zero harm. Injury statistics from the year prior will be reviewed, and Mr. Belair will outline what they did to change the safety culture onsite. • Leveraging project stakeholder’s individual ownership to “stop and fix issues†• Utilizing engagement and leadership to illustrate shared goals and create risk awareness within the safety culture • Ingraining “we are in this together†teamwork to achieve employee-based safety culture • Instituting regular site-level communication between production and safety leadership to facilitate an integrated approach to safety
