Prof. Sayed Ashour Ahmed, graduated from Assiut University, Egypt in 1967 in the field of Pest Control, then awarded MSc from the same Department in 1970, then PhD from Weed Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyoto University, Japan in 1982. Since that he worked in Plant Protection Dept of Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University as Lecturer (1982-1987), then Associate Professor (1987-1992). From 1992 he has been working as Professor in the same Dept in the field of Pesticides with focus on Herbicide Science. He also worked as a Manager of Assiut University Center for Environmental and Research Studies (1992-1993), Manager of Wadi-El-Assiuti Protected Area, Assiut (1996-2003) and Manager of Center of Research Funding and International Publication (2013 till now) as part time deputation. He got several awards mainly: Arab Universities League Award for the Best Research (2006), Prof. M. S. Elfangary Encouraging Award for Best Theoretical and Applied Study for Serving Egypt (2007 & 2009), Assiut University Award for Distinguished Teaching (2007), Assiut University Award of Appreciation in Agricultural Science (2010), Simplification of Science Award, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt (2011). After 45 years working (research and education) he have published more than 60 research and working papers in international and local Journals and conferences in the field of environmental and pesticides science
